“Activator” Alert: MacOS Malware Hides in Cracked Apps, Targeting Crypto Wallets

Kaspersky, a leading cybersecurity company, recently uncovered a concerning vulnerability in Apple’s MacOS. A previously undetected malware, cleverly nestled within cracked apps and software, has been infecting MacOS users, stealing crucial system information as well as data from cryptocurrency wallets. The vulnerability seems to primarily target MacOS Ventura 13.6 and later versions, indicating the malware’s sophistication and adaptability to infect both Intel- and Apple M1-powered Macs. This vulnerability underscores the grave risks associated with downloading cracked applications, underlining the importance of proper digital hygiene and cybersecurity practices.
