“Activator” Alert: MacOS Malware Hides in Cracked Apps, Targeting Crypto Wallets

In an alert named “Activator”, cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has shed light on a sneaky macOS malware hiding in cracked applications. This previously undocumented stealer malware, capable of harvesting system information and cryptocurrency wallet data, has been found infecting Apple macOS users. Specifically designed to affect systems running macOS Ventura 13.6 and later, it displays a strong capability to infiltrate Macs on both Intel. Mac users resorting to cracked apps are thus urged to be wary, as these compromised programs seem to be the prime carriers of this threatening security vulnerability.
