New iShutdown Method Exposes Hidden Spyware Like Pegasus on Your iPhone

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered an innovative method, iShutdown, for unmasking hidden spyware within iOS devices. Notable menaces such as Pegasus, an exploit developed by Israeli cybersecurity firm NSO Group, the Reign attack platform of French group QuaDream, and Predator by UK-based Intellexa are among the noteworthy spywares this lightweight method can flag. According to Kaspersky, a detailed study on iPhones compromised with Pegasus uncovered that the invasive spyware left detectable markers within a file. This revelation bolsters concern about Apple’s vulnerability to such potentially damaging breaches.
